Frequently Asked Questions - Contest Information

If you have any questions regarding the event and dont see an answer here, please email troy@pkmediallc.com or contact one of the contact people on the contact page.  Thank you!

Question:  What is the Fishing Contest and Big Pike Contest?
Answer:  There are two separate contests. The Big Pike Contest is totally separate from the fishing contest. You must buy a separate ticket for each contest but you are not required to buy both.  You may chose to fish both or one or the other. Weigh-in for all fish will be at Critter's Sports in Winneconne and is Headquarters for Party on Poygan.

Question:  How many fish can I Register?
Answer:  Each contestant may register one fish per purchased ticket with no limit to number of tickets an individual can purchase.  All regulations apply to this rule and no person may bring in more than the legal limit of fish allowed.

Question: What time do I have to register my fish?
Answer:  Contestants are encouraged to weigh fish as early as possible as a tie breaker will go the person who weighs the fish the earliest.  All contestants must have their fish registered by 4:00 pm. At 4:00 pm the scales will close and anyone who has not registered their fish will not be allowed to.  A quick tip to increase your odds.....Purchase 2 tickets and weigh a fish early then go back out to try for the big one.  If you don’t have a big fish by the end of the day, register any other fish which will give you 2 chances to win. Example of how the payout works.....If contestant "A" brings in a fish that weighs 2.43 lbs. at 9:30am and contestant "B" brings in a fish that weighs 2.43 lbs. at 2:15pm, contestant "A" would get 24th place and contestant "B" would get 25th place. Contestant "B" would then win whatever prize at 25th place. (24th and 25 place are just relative and can be any place. this is simply an example of how the tie breakers works)

Question:  Do I need to be present to win?
Answer 1:  YES for the Fishing Contest and Big Pike Contest.
Answer 2:  NO for the Raffle Prize Drawing. Raffle prizes will be drawn Saturday at 8:30 pm and all winners will be notified if they are not there to claim their prize by February 5, 2010.

Question:  What are the boundaries for the event?
Answer:  All fish must be caught on Lake Poygan, Big Lake Butte des Morts or Lake Winneconne ONLY!  Any contestant who is suspicious of violating the rule may be subject to a polygraph test.

Question:  How Much is the cover charge for Vic Ferrari?
Answer:  The cover charge for Vic Ferrari is any one of the 4 tickets.  You may purchase two $5.00 raffle tickets to get in or you may turn in your ticket stub from the fishing contest or big pike contest for your entry.
