"Party on Poygan” Ice Fishing Extravaganza Coming to Winneconne
Critter’s, J.J. Keller Foundation, Winneconne Kiwanis to host
Set for January 30, the newly established “Party on Poygan” is slated to be the biggest thing ‘ever’ to hit Winneconne in the months of winter. Party on Poygan – the Bash for Cash is an all day, ice-fishing contest in search of that “Big Fish” with the top prize for the fish a whopping $3,000. The contest starts at 6 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m., and there is a separate pay-out of $1,000 for the biggest pike registered. There’s a host of other cash payouts to win, along with ice bowling, a poker run and a cash raffle.
Then, when the fishing is done and a drink and warm shelter call to you, head on in to Critter’s as the party continues with Vic Ferrari playing from 7 to 11:30 p.m. If you want VIP treatment, purchase one of 100 VIP tickets on sale now. For a great price, you’ll get special seating in the upper mezzanine, free food and free beer. Hurry, these seats are sure to sell out fast.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Winneconne Kiwanis, the Winneconne-Poygan Fire District, the Winneconne Chamber of Commerce, and local children’s charities.
